The Age is a river Toscano 54 km long. It originates in the territory of Volterra, to lead nell'Arno in Pontedera. The river is created from the union of two streams: It was Viva and the Information Age Morta. Its tributaries of the left: Cascina river, stream Ragone, torrent Sterza; right: Capriggine river and stream Roglio. During the mid-sixteenth century occurred made some corrections on some meandering river. On November 4, 1966 the Information Age broke the dikes in Pontedera up to flood the city.
